A student-to-faculty ratio of 14:1 allows students to develop life-long friendships with classmates and mentoring relationships with faculty, who prove to be invaluable resources as they seek internship and job opportunities.
Student success is ensured through a variety of tutoring programs, career fairs, cultural and study abroad programs, and other resources providing students with health, counseling and social support.
Some of the standout programs at Tuskegee would include the nursing program, which is the oldest baccalaureate nursing program in the state of Alabama. We offer a lot of entities of engineering. And we also have an amazing veterinary medicine program.
Students at Tuskegee are being prepared to be leaders every day. This is especially true for me, being an ROTC cadet. We learn things about being a good leader, such as decision making, how to motivate others, leading by example.
I think having small class sizes benefits the student and the instructor. Because the instructor is able to meet the need of the student. But the student is also able to bridge and learn off of that.
The faculty at my institution are exemplary instructors and people.
They are all very passionate, very driven people. They're always there if you need help. I've been able to use them as references for internships, for jobs. Having a degree from here, you're able to network with all the alumni. I personally have been able to talk to other veterinarians that have graduated from here who are interested in offering me an internship just because I go here.
Because of the many corporations that Tuskegee University partners with, I was able to secure my first internship as a freshman.
From tutoring to counseling services, whatever the student need is, Tuskegee University provides it.
